Spotlight Spice: Prime Land Seasoning
The word prime is used to describe things of the highest quality…prime rib, prime time, and our Prime Land Seasoning – this week’s Spotlight Spice – are all great examples.
The blend is a French-inspired collaborative creation between our in-house spice expert Rory Brown Chef David Baruthio, and it’s a perfect blend for seasoning your favorite beef, chicken and pork dishes.
Prime Land Seasoning is a delicate balance of fleur de sel, freshly ground black pepper, onion, and other herbs and spices, like lavender and thyme, which give the blend a distinctly French flair.
To use the blend, sprinkle it liberally over meat or poultry prior to grilling or roasting. We love mixing the blend in with our ground beef to make hamburgers for grilling. It’s also wonderful on roasted veggies and potatoes and adds a bit of France to your morning eggs. Combine with balsamic or wine vinegar and an unflavored olive oil for a light herbal dressing for your favorite salad greens.
