Ahh, ranch dressing… It’s been an American staple since the 1950s, but where did it come from?
California dude ranch owner Kenneth Henson created the flavorful buttermilk dressing and served it to guests at the ranch. Turns out they loved it, and Kenneth continued making it. It eventually outlived the ranch.
Our Dude, it’s Ranch Seasoning combines traditional ranch dressing flavors of onion, garlic, salt, parsley, black pepper, and dill into a delicious, easy-to-use powder.
Use it to make a creamy ranch dressing at home by combining 2 tablespoons of Dude, it’s Ranch Seasoning with 2 cups of mayonnaise, 2 cups of buttermilk, 1 ½ cups of sour cream, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Refrigerate the mixture for at least two hours before using for the best flavor.
The seasoning blend isn’t just for making dressing. Mix it into your coleslaw for ranch-tastic flavor. Combine it with breadcrumbs and toss veggies like cauliflower and broccoli in the mixture then air fry for a tasty, crispy side dish. It’s also great mixed into mashed potatoes or tossed with popcorn.
