Ingredients

  • 1/4 C. Granulated Sugar or Honey, Granulated
  • 1/4 C. Freshly-Squeezed Lemon Juice (2 Large Lemons)
  • 2 Tbsp. Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Basil Leaves, Roughly Torn
  • Water
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Create a simple syrup by combining sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir mixture until sugar has completely dissolved and liquid is clear. Set aside to cool.

  2. In a tall glass or a small bowl, use a muddler (or the flat wooden base of a wooden spoon) to "muddle" together the lemon juice and basil leaves. This will infuse the lemon juice with the flavor of the fresh basil.

  3. Add 2/3 Cup of cold water, desired flavored splash of balsamic vinegar and simple syrup, and stir to combine.

  4. Strain into a glass of ice and serve.
