Staff Spotlight: Maggie

Hey all, meet AllSpicer Maggie, who joined the AllSpice team just in time for the holiday rush! Maggie works with the crew at our West Des Moines production facility packaging herbs, spices, chiles, rubs and blends, and more headed for the AllSpice shelves.

As usual, we asked Maggie the hard hitting questions to help you get to know her better. 

What do you like to cook?

I like to cook pastas ... there are endless possibilities!

What's your favorite food? 

I love a good stir fry. 

How did you find out about AllSpice?

I heard about AllSpice because a couple of the guys at production see my friend Zach at Cloud 9 Massage Therapy. Zach knew the AllSpice team was looking for some help during the busy season and made the connection.

What do you like best about working at AllSpice? 

I enjoy working with spices, enjoying their smells, and learning what each can be used for. I put a lot of love into everything I do and food is something I'm aiming to get better at. Food is as only as good as the ingredients, and that includes the spices.

What are you up to when you're not at the AllSpice production facility? 

When I'm not at production I enjoy playing drums (Djembe or even handpan when I have my hands on one, otherwise I play my tongue drum), making music, singing, throwing Ecstatic Dance events, holding sacred fire ceremonies, holding women’s drum circles, writing poetry and lyrics for songs ... really just making magic out of life. Or turning life into magic - whichever way you want to look at it.

I am also a mother to a WONDERFUL almost 4 year old who reminds me how to have fun in life!

We love having Maggie as part of the production team. In fact, she's staying with us past the holiday season! Welcome Maggie!
